You can use your own fonts in draw.io to make your diagrams more interesting or to match the text to your company’s corporate style guide. You can use any fonts that are installed on your computer.

Using installed fonts

To use a custom font that is already installed on your computer, open the Text tab in the format panel, select Custom from the dropdown list, then type the exact name of the font you want to use.

People who view the diagram who have not installed this font will see the text in the “Times New Roman” font.

Installing Google fonts

Google fonts can also be downloaded, installed on your computer and used in draw.io. Just like you can select a custom installed font, open the Text tab in the format panel, select Custom from the dropdown list, then type the exact name of the font you want to use. The example in the video uses Google’s Kalam font.

If this Google font is not available, viewers will see the text in the “Times New Roman” font.
