Building the dream at Atlassian Team ‘25

All the latest from draw.io
If you were at Team ’25 this year, you may have seen someone walking around wearing a sparkly gold hard hat, or perhaps heard the sound of clicking carpenter pencils in a toolbelt as draw.io walked by…
Our theme this year was Build your dream house project with draw.io. Just like building a house requires strong foundations, regular check-ins, and a team that’s aligned on their shared goal, managing a project involves many of the same processes.
Over the course of our Team ’25 Campaign, we looked at how diagramming can be used for any project, big or small, and how draw.io accompanies you and your team throughout your project and helps you accomplish your goals!
At the booth

We loved having people drop by for a chat at the booth – some new, and some familiar faces. A trend we noticed this year was that more Admins attended this time round, looking to migrate from other tools, comparing different visualization products, and seeing how draw.io can facilitate their teams.
We were asked plenty of nitty-gritty, technical diagramming questions about using draw.io, specifically visualizing in Confluence, and this was our time to shine! We got to demo to users how draw.io allows you to build complex diagrams with shape properties, and add metadata like tooltips and custom links to diagrams. We also showed how seamless using draw.io in Confluence is, and how you can do next-level customization like adding draw.io diagrams to Confluence page templates.
Here, we could prove that draw.io really can do it all, and it was fun to showcase the tool in its best light.
Introducing: Our new Zero Egress app

At Team ‘25 we unveiled our new Zero Egress app that Runs on Atlassian, and our talented teammates Basti and MJ took to the stage to give a Theater Talk explaining what it’s all about.
Our Zero Egress app provides total security and peace of mind to organizations working in highly sensitive industries like finance, government, healthcare, etc. Built on Atlassian’s Forge platform, the app means no data leaves your Confluence instance, and there is no cross-domain traffic – it’s essentially like a firewall around the whole app.

The Diagramming Challenge

In keeping with our construction theme, this year’s diagramming challenge brought out the inner architects and designers out there. The challenge was to customize a pre-built floor plan, changing shape colors and dimensions, and adding your own personalized shapes to the floor plan. There was even a hidden Easter egg to unveil for the advanced diagrammers who made it to the end. 🐣
Didn’t get to try the diagramming challenge at Team? Put your diagramming skills to the test here:

- Open Confluence.
- Open draw.io (blank diagram).
- Drag & drop your XML file into your blank drawing area.
- Use it as a custom template if you like.
Stickers and swag
We had a number of goodies to give out this year, including branded hats and t-shirts with our construction theme. Our carpenter pencils were a great icebreaker – some delegates with carpentry know-how recognized them immediately, while for others, these flat pencils were a brand-new concept (they don’t roll off uneven surfaces – isn’t that neat?!)

One VIP item was a customized draw.io flannel shirt, with our legendary Eierlegende Wollmilchsau mascot on the back.

And last but certainly not least, our skilled Designer, Kevin, produced some sturdy adhesive material for any draw.io fan’s collection:

Team '26 in just a few ticks
As we take off our hard hats, wipe the sweat from our brows, and survey all we achieved at Team ‘25, we feel we can be proud of what we’ve accomplished.
Team ‘26 will be held again in Anaheim, CA. As for our theme next year? You’ll have to wait and see. We’re looking forward to seeing you next time!
